As the maxim goes “health is wealth”, a sound mind and healthy body indeed is a weapon to battle against all odds that may come in one’s way. Being physically fit and strong and capable is like an added benefit in a person’s way to boost his stamina to perform intermittently. Contextually, the one factor that cannot be done without is stress. Stress is associated with us. In a way, it’s like both the boon and the bane in our life. The boon is because it works as a positive catalyst for some basic human emotions: fun, excitement, grievance, fear, amazement. It is the factor that compulsively pushes an individual to test his potential and to perform better. However, it may act as a negative agent also just to ignite the rage, disappointment, and depression. When out of control, the flux of the tension can even attack the nerves to call an impending danger.

For the social gambler or who are in the initial position yet to feel the taste of gambling, it may sound like an excitement, a good hobby to leisure around, a great relaxing machine, and a superfast way of earning in galore. However, there is something more to gambling that need to be understood. Winning a stake can make someone go ecstatic as losing the game tormented. In any case, the wager is bound to try the game again and again either to pile on the bounty or to regain what is lost. This is the first step when a social gambler is transformed into a pathological gambler or a compulsive gambler or in layman’s term, an addict.

The situation gradually worsens when the gambler, despite knowing the danger looming, cannot take control neither of him nor the situation. In many cases, the gambler realizes his fault but then again end up visiting the casinos and parlors to lose something more.
